Details of the project: We are preparing to launch a new patent localization project in the telecommunications domain and are looking for experienced English → Spanish (Spain) patent freelance translators to join us as core linguist partners.
This project focuses on high-quality telecom patent translation and offers long-term collaboration opportunities for the right candidates.

Special requirements to the applicants: ✅ Mandatory Requirements
1. Native-level Spanish (Spain); fluent or near-native English
2. Bachelor’s degree or above in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical fields
3. At least 3 years of telecommunications patent translation
experience (or 500,000+ words in this domain)
4. Strong understanding of patent structure, especially the difference between claims and specification
5. Familiarity with telecom technologies such as: radio resource management, access technologies, multi-carrier transmission, channel coding, core network architecture, or next-generation access networks
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with LTE / 5G NR / 3GPP-related patent translation
2. Knowledge of RRC / MAC / PHY layers, wireless resource management, and scheduling mechanisms
3. Familiarity with MIMO / beamforming / massive MIMO
4. Experience providing patent translation services for major telecom companies (e.g. Ericsson, Nokia)
5. Experience with Wi-Fi (802.11ax / 802.11be), NB-IoT, or LTE-M is a strong plus
