EN-Dutch Patent Translation – Telecom

Responsibilities
1.Translate telecommunications-related patent documents, including:
– Specifications
– Claims
– Abstracts
2. Ensure technical accuracy, logical consistency, and compliance with patent language conventions
3.Follow provided terminology, style guides, and QA requirements
4.Cooperate with review or QA processes and handle reasonable revisions when required

Mandatory Requirements
1. Dutch Native speaker, with high proficiency in English (fluent or near-native level)
2.Bachelor’s degree or above in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Network Security, or other related engineering disciplines (Non-telecom majors are required to have proven telecom industry related work experience.)
3. At least 3 years of experience (or over 500,000 words) in telecommunications patent translation; candidates with hands-on experience in wireless communication–related projects are preferred
4. Solid understanding of patent document structure, especially a clear distinction between claims and specifications
5. Basic knowledge of or familiarity with one or more of the following telecommunications technology areas:
-Wireless resource management
-Access technologies
-Multi-carrier transmission
-Channel coding
-Core network architecture
-Next-generation access networks

Preferred Qualifications
1.Experience translating patents related to LTE / 5G NR / 3GPP standards
2.Familiarity with RRC / MAC / PHY layers, wireless resource management, and scheduling mechanisms
3.Knowledge of MIMO / beamforming / Massive MIMO technologies
4.Experience providing patent translation services for major telecommunications companies (e.g. Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia)
5.Familiarity with Wi-Fi (802.11ax / 802.11be), NB-IoT, or LTE-M technologies
