GienTech – English to Italian Telecommunications Patent Translators Needed

We are currently preparing for a highly specialized project in the field of telecommunications patents and are seeking experienced linguists with strong technical and patent translation expertise to support this initiative.
Responsibilities
1. Translate telecommunications-related patent documents, including:
o Specifications
o Claims
o Abstracts
2. Ensure technical accuracy, logical consistency, and compliance with patent drafting conventions.
3. Adhere strictly to provided terminology, style guides, and QA requirements.
4. Cooperate with review and QA processes and handle reasonable revisions when required.
Mandatory Requirements
1. Native speaker of Italian, with fluent or near-native proficiency in English.
2. Bachelor’s degree or above in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Network Security, or other related engineering disciplines.
o Candidates without a telecom-related major must demonstrate proven, relevant industry experience.
3. At least 3 years of experience (or 500,000+ words) in telecommunications patent translation; hands-on experience in wireless communication–related projects is highly preferred.
4. Solid understanding of patent document structure, with a clear distinction between claims and specifications.
5. Working knowledge of one or more of the following telecommunications technology areas:
o Wireless resource management
o Access technologies
o Multi-carrier transmission
o Channel coding
o Core network architecture
o Next-generation access networks
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience translating patents related to LTE / 5G NR / 3GPP standards.
2. Familiarity with RRC / MAC / PHY layers, wireless resource management, and scheduling mechanisms.
3. Knowledge of MIMO / beamforming / Massive MIMO technologies.
4. Experience providing patent translation services for major telecommunications companies (e.g. Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia).
5. Familiarity with Wi-Fi (802.11ax / 802.11be), NB-IoT, or LTE-M technologies.
