Position Overview:
We are seeking freelance Basque Subtitlers to join our growing localization network. Selected candidates will translate and subtitle audiovisual content while ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and adherence to client guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate and subtitle films, series, documentaries, and other media from English into Maltese.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and cultural appropriateness.
Proofread and review subtitles to meet PFT’s quality and technical standards.
Follow provided style guides, glossaries, and templates.
Meet deadlines and collaborate effectively with the localization team.
Requirements
Native speakers from Malta Region (non-natives will not be considered).
Excellent command of English.
Proven translation or subtitling experience (media content preferred).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Familiarity with subtitling tools (Subtitle Edit, EZTitles, Spot, etc.) is an advantage.
Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely.
