This role involves translating and reviewing adult education course content from English to Spanish, ensuring clarity, authenticity, cultural relevance, and accessibility for Spanish-speaking learners. The ideal candidate will have experience in online education and a strong understanding of adult learning principles. Key Responsibilities: Accurately translate online course materials, including video/audio scripts, quizzes, presentations, and written content, from English to Spanish. Review and edit translated content to ensure accuracy, tone, and consistency with the source material while adhering to adult learning standards. Collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and multimedia teams to align translations with course objectives. Adapt content to be culturally appropriate and engaging for diverse Spanish-speaking adult learners. Maintain translation glossaries and style guides to ensure consistency across courses. Use translation and content management tools to streamline workflow and version control. Qualifications: Fluency in both English and Spanish (read, written and spoken). Strong research abilities to ensure accurate and context-appropriate translations. Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Education, Linguistics, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience translating educational or eLearning content. Familiarity with adult learning theory and instructional design principles. Experienced in managing end-to-end translation workflows, including file preparation, terminology management, quality assurance, and final delivery across various platforms and tools. Familiarity with MS Office Suite and formatting tools. Strong proofreading and editing skills, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guides in both source and target languages. Preferred Qualifications: Certification from a recognized translation organization (e.g., ATA). Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive language practices. Experience in workforce development, vocational training, or continuing education. Qualified candidates will be invited to complete a brief language proficiency assessment.
