-English ⇄ Portuguese
-English ⇄ Indonesian
About the Role:
You will provide HIPAA‑compliant remote medical interpretation services via phone or video for healthcare encounters. This role requires professionalism, accuracy, and strict confidentiality.
Requirements:
-A HIPAA‑compliant work environment
-Quiet, distraction‑free workspace
-USB or noise‑canceling headset
-Plain, neutral background (grey preferred)
-Reliable high‑speed internet
-Ability to interpret medical terminology accurately
-Strong command of both English and the target language
Schedule
-Availability during U.S. time zones (EST)
-Monday–Friday availability
-Weekend availability is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
National medical interpreter certification such as:
-CCHI (Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters)
-NBCMI (National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters)
-Previous medical or community interpreting experience
-Familiarity with HIPAA standards
