Freelance Greek Translator: 23,800-Word Business Book (Topic: Feedback)

We are seeking a skilled freelance translator to translate a business book from English into Greek. The book focuses on the art of giving and receiving Feedback—exploring how it shapes corporate culture and individual growth.

The project consists of approximately 23,800 source words, and we plan to assign it in early January (post-holidays).

How We Work:

We are seeking a text that sounds natural, authoritative, and engaging in Greek, rather than a literal, word-for-word translation.
– Deliverables: The final delivery must be a Microsoft Word document that strictly maintains the original formatting (headings, bold text, bullet points, etc.).
– Tone & Style: The Greek version should resonate with a professional audience (managers, HR, and entrepreneurs) while remaining accessible and human.
– Feedback Loop: You may be asked to provide brief comments/notes on specific terminology choices to ensure alignment with the book’s core message.

Requirements:

– Native Greek speaker with a mastery of business, HR and leadership vocabulary.
– Ability to work independently and manage the layout within Microsoft Word.
– Must be able to issue an invoice.

Application Process:

Please respond only after carefully reading the requirements and only through Proz. Direct emails will be ignored. In your proposal, please include:
– Rate per Word: Please provide your rate based on the source (English) word count. Kindly provide also rates for repetitions and fuzzy matches.
– Proposed Timeline: Given a start date in early January, please provide your estimated turnaround time for the full manuscript.
– Relevant Experience: A summary of your work in business translation.
– Test Translation: Please translate the paragraph provided below to demonstrate your approach to the book’s tone. Applications without the test translation will be ignored.
