Malay IT Translator (EN–MS)
Location: Remote | Freelance
Job Summary
This position is responsible for localizing English IT-related materials into Malay, including developer-facing user guides, music and content style guidelines, platform updates, internal documentation, and related materials, etc.
Key Accountabilities
· Read and fully understand the context of the provided materials
· Use specialized glossaries and computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools
· Research industry-specific and technical terminology
· Translate English content into clear, accurate, and natural Malay
· Proofread translated content to ensure correctness in grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Education and Qualifications
· Native Malay speaker with strong English proficiency
· Bachelor’s degree or above
· Preferably with a background in English, linguistics, IT, or computer-related fields
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
· Excellent English skills (both written and reading)
· Ability to deliver fluent, accurate, and context-appropriate translations
· Basic understanding of software development and IT concepts
· Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical knowledge
· Proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented work attitude
· Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, remote team environment
· Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
