Role Description:Mabaya Group is seeking a Freelance Editor to review, refine, and enhance written content across various platforms. The ideal candidate has strong editorial skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience working with diverse content formats.This is a remote contract role. Candidates must be based in Queens, New York, and authorized to work in the U.S.Responsibilities:Edit, proofread, and refine content for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.Ensure adherence to brand voice, tone, and editorial guidelines.Collaborate with writers, content creators, and marketing teams to enhance storytelling and engagement.Review content for grammar, spelling, and structural improvements.Provide constructive feedback to writers and suggest revisions as needed.Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:3+ years of experience as an Editor, Copy Editor, or similar role.Strong command of grammar, style, and editorial best practices.Ability to work across various content types, including articles, web copy, and marketing materials.Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency.Candidates must be based in Queens, New York, and authorized to work in the U.S.Preferred Skills:Experience in digital publishing, journalism, or content marketing.Familiarity with AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, or other editorial guidelines.Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.Compensation & Job Type:Freelance, Contract (Paid) – Compensation based on experience and project scope.Estimated Pay Range: $30 – $60 per hour, depending on expertise.Remote – Candidates must be based in Queens, New York, and authorized to work in the U.S.Travel Requirements: None.
