We are in need of Translators for the below language pairs:
Source language: English
Target Languages:
• EN to Traditional Chinese – HONG KONG (from Hong Kong, the person must be a native speaker of Cantonese)
• EN to Traditional Chinese – TAIWAN (from Taiwan, with oral proficiency in both Taiwanese Mandarin and Taiwanese Hokkien)
Linguist Profiles We Need
Qualified linguists who are native speakers of the target variant, and ideally residents of the target country
Extensive revision experience, including with heavily regulated materials (airline experience is definitely an asset)
An eye for style and readability
Demonstrated client-facing abilities: We are looking for candidates with a strong “Language Lead” or “Language Consultant” profile and a track record of successful client interactions
Willingness to sit a short test and interview
Project Overview
This project involves a complete rework of a manual, with the following tasks:
Translating some sections from scratch.
Reviewing and revising existing materials for other sections.
The manuals to review are about 60-80 pages long. Once onboarded, linguists will also have access to other projects for this high-profile client, including corporate communications and marketing translations.
