OXO is looking for liguistic reviewers for localization projects

OXO is building up a Review team for a new, long-term linguistic project. Unfortunately I cannot disclose detailed information at this stage, but our client is a major player in localization and a leader in applying innovative technology and adopting AI to deliver the highest quality translations quickly, efficiently, and at scale. – you probably heard of them.
While they already have a solid reputation worldwide, they are counting on OXO to consolidate their presence by offering high-quality linguistic reviewers that resonate with local audiences all over the world.

About the job, we are looking for professionals with backgrounds in Marketing, Journalism, Copy Editing, Writing, and Localization who possess the skills to test a wide range of applications and tools.

Job Description: As a Linguistic Reviewer, you will be responsible for conducting test cases, identifying localization bugs, reporting them through our internal bug tracking system, and verifying the implemented fixes.
This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements:

– Native-level fluency in the respective language (grammar, vocabulary, composition, punctuation)
– Fluency in English (written and spoken)
– Experience in translation
– Tech-savvy, with experience testing web-based systems and applications on Mac OS X and iOS
– Ability to prioritize linguistic issues and distinguish between must-fix and nice-to-have
– Experience with test cases, test scripts, and bug tracking systems
– Strong problem-solving skills
– Ability to articulate reproduction steps for issues and communicate critical information
– Flexibility to work during non-business hours, weekends, and national/federal holidays
– Strong team ethic

Important Information:
• Training: 2 weeks of paid training, which must be completed and passed to be on-boarded.
• Retainers: Paid work hours of 4 hours per day, 5 days per week. Retainer model.
•Equipment: A Mac computer is required.
