Wordcrafts are looking for localisation specialists in the language pairs of English > Norwegian (Bokmål) and English > Bulgarian for a leading manufacturer of high-end power tools (dust extractors, saws, drills, sanders and so on).
The task at hand is to localise the client’s mobile application (iOS / Android). The translation is to be performed in Crowdin. Extensive training material on how to use Crowdin is available if you are not familiar.
The initial localisation may include a one-time on-device review (details will be communicated separately later), so you will ideally have an iOS or Android smartphone that you are willing to use for testing.
We are looking for translators who are fit in the area of engineering / manufacturing and well acquainted with relevant technical terminology, as well as being a seasoned professional in the area of software localisation. There will be regular subsequent updates with continuous workload following this job.
Please note that we cannot disclose a sample text at this stage since we’d require you to sign a non-disclosure agreement up front.
If you are interested, please submit an application with a short introduction of yourself and the following details:
* Your word rates for app localisation including on-device review, plain text translation, proofreading, your hourly rate, and your minimum fee, if any
* Your experience in localising application content
* Your degree of familiarity with tool and hardware industry, mechanical and engineering terminology and/or similar fields
* Your experience with Crowdin or similar localisation platforms
* Make and model of your smartphone for possible on-device review of a beta version
We are looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards
Olli
