One of our clients, a leading note-taking app, is looking to expand its reach to French-speaking Canadian users by adapting the existing European French localization. We are looking for a reliable English to Canadian French translator familiar with European French.
For consistency, the client would like to ensure that the new Canadian French version maintains the tone, style, and meaning of the existing European French content, while making necessary adjustments for regional differences. So your job will be to provide a Canadian French version of app’s content using the European French version as reference. Of course, the original English source texts will also be available. This job will be billed on an hourly basis.
In case of a successful collaboration, you will also take care of the continuous app updates going forward, translating from English into Canadian French (billed per word).
Wordcrafts is a localization provider specialized on Apple iOS and Mac applications. We translate well-known and leading iOS and Mac software and related hardware.
We require the following:
* You IDEALLY work on a Macintosh, with one of the latest OS X installed, and are familiar with Apple’s products and terminology.
* You IDEALLY have an iOS device for testing of your localization on your device. Preferably iPhone, at least an iPad.
Our tool for localization is Crowdin. You will receive a login invite with the relevant access rights.

* Your hourly rate for the adaptation of the FR_FR localization into FR_CA
* Your per word rates for localization of app strings incl. review inside the app, plain text translation, and proofreading; plus your minimum fee, if any
* Your experience in localizing application content
* Your experience with Crowdin or similar localization platforms
* Your degree of familiarity with Apple’s software and hardware ecosystem
