The organization consists of a standalone fifty-five (55) )-bed hospital and six outlying outpatient facilities that have anywhere from fourteen (14) beds to one hundred and thirty-four (134) beds. The organization has approximately four hundred (400) employees.Summary Of PositionThe Spanish Translator/Office Assistant is responsible for translating documents, treatment sessions, phone calls, and meetings for clinical staff. Assisting with clerical duties such as filing, answering phones, and making copies and performs other duties as assigned.Essentials DutiesPerforms clerical duties such as filing. Responsible for typing and word-processing accurately and in a timely manner.Ability to translate therapy sessions, meetings, and phone calls for staff.Prompt and accurate filing of Progress notesMaintains office suppliesMaintains minutes as required.Assist with monthly MediCal eligibility.Effectively photocopies and distributes materials.Answers phones take messages and exercises good judgment (e.g. when to page).Composes and edits correspondence (includes grammar, punctuation and spelling).Exercises good judgment, including the limits of information to be given, demonstrating sufficient understanding of situations to ask appropriate questions and pursue avenues of new information that become apparent.Maintains current copies of needed formsAssist the Office Manager and Administrative Secretary as needed with front office responsibilities.Filing and uploading all client documentation into EHRResponds appropriately to stressful or difficult/emergency situations.Maintains an objective, professional relationship with co-workers and patients at all times.Able to arrive at sound conclusions after getting and analyzing all pertinent facts.Willing and able to work independently.Seeks additional tasks during slow times.Displays positive attitude to patients, visitors, and hospital personnel.Seeks learning opportunities to gain new knowledge/skills, which result in continuing quality improvement.Communicates accurate written and oral messages.
