I am seeking a reliable QGIS Teaching Assistant to support my bespoke GIS training courses delivered to planning and development professionals. These in-person courses focus on real-world workflows, hands-on exercises, and building participants’ confidence with geospatial tools.
The course content has already been produced. As a teaching assistant, you will help me deliver training sessions by troubleshooting technical issues, and offering one-on-one support during exercises.
This is a temporary, in-person role that requires willingness to travel to various locations in the UK.
Responsibilities:
– Assist participants during in-person training sessions, helping them navigate QGIS tools and workflows.
– Provide one-on-one support and guidance during practical exercises.
– Troubleshoot technical issues related to QGIS during sessions.
– Maintain professionalism and a positive, approachable attitude throughout the course.
Requirements:
– Proficiency in QGIS, with practical experience in geospatial data analysis, map production, and workflows.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
– Experience in teaching, training, or providing technical support is desirable.
– Willingness to travel to training locations across the UK.
– Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to varying participant needs.
