TransPerfect is actively seeking Japanese-to-Chinese freelance linguists (Translators, Post-editors, and Proofreaders) with expertise in the Patents field, particularly technical patents.
Requirements:
– near Native-level or professional Japanese proficiency and native Chinese proficiency
– A Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education
– At least 2 years of professional patent translation experience
– Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines
– Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar
Preferred Qualifications:
– Proficiency with CAT tools
– Proofreading experience
– linguistic certificate in Japanese
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Applicants will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement and complete a Translation test, a MTPE test and/or a Proofreading test respectively, and will not be paid.
