Key output:
1. Marathi to English and English
to Marathi simultaneous interpretation
of communication and discussion carried
by the persons from the countries with
Indian stakeholders and community
persons during visits and engagements,
in particular, field visits, meetings
in Maharashtra.
2. Marathi to English and English
to Marathi simultaneous interpretation
of presentations and discussions by
various stakeholders, delegates and the
community.
Specific tasks to be performed
The specific tasks to be performed by
the interpreter will include but not
necessarily be limited to the following:
Support the visitors in understanding
the local context for better
participation in dialogues;
1. Assist the team members from
African continent and Europe in
responding to queries from Indian
stakeholders, including presentation and
vice a versa.
2. Support the Indian stakeholders
in comprehending the communication,
presentation, and discussion by the
stakeholders during the exposure visit.
Implementation period April 29 – May 3, 2024
Work-hours and days
Approximately 8 hours each on April 29 to May 3 2024 on days of travel it can be more.
Total hours : 8 hours x 5 work-days = 40 hours.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum bachelors degree in social science and good command over English and Marathi.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in providing Marathi English-Marathi interpretation service support. A person with journalist background will be an asset.
• Experience in interpretation support provided in Maharashtra will be an added advantage.
