This project aims to create a children’s book titled “Miriam the Courageous Tot” that uplifts parents of premature babies in the NICU. The story will be inspired by the author’s own experience as a tiny preterm infant who weighed only 1 pound 4 ounces yet survived. The goal is to give hope to NICU parents and encourage them to read the book to their babies still fighting for survival. It will convey a message of courage and resilience. Illustrations will complement up to 20 pages of text but no more than 30 pages. The freelancer will assist the author with writing and illustrating the story based on her personal experience as a micropreemie. The final product aims to support and empower NICU families during a challenging time.
