INTERPRETER/TRANSLATOR (SPANISH)Job DescriptionJob Summary:Provides professional interpretation and translation services on a contractual basis.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Facilitate effective communication between two parties that do not speak a similar language byconverting one spoken language to another. Attend conferences, meetings, and hearings and act as official translator to mediate discussion. Create a new text in the target language that reproduces the content and style of the original. Edit and proofread text to accurately reflect language. Receive and submit assignments electronically. Facilitate communication for people with limited English proficiency.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in World Languages/Spanish or other related field preferred. Certificate of completion of an ethical training provided by an accredited program. Superior verbal and written multi-lingual skills. Experience working with limited English proficient populations. Strong interpersonal skills.Salary Contractual
