In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the precision and cultural appropriateness of translations for a wide range of healthcare-related documents.Responsibilities:Translation and Localization:Translate a diverse array of written materials in the healthcare sector, including legal documents, marketing materials, product descriptions, and communications, from English to Spanish and vice versa.Ensure the accuracy, clarity, and cultural sensitivity of translations while adhering to industry-specific terminology and standards.Maintaining Consistency:Maintain consistency in tone, style, and terminology throughout translated content to ensure precision and cultural relevance.Collaborate with internal teams to establish and adhere to brand guidelines and industry-specific standards.Quality Assurance:Conduct thorough proofreading and quality checks to verify the correctness of translated content, paying meticulous attention to grammar, spelling, and formatting.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain consistent translation quality and resolve any linguistic issues.Cultural Sensitivity:Understand and consider cultural nuances, regional variations, and healthcare-related cultural factors when translating content to ensure it resonates with the target audience.Glossary and Terminology Management:Maintain and update a comprehensive glossary of healthcare-specific terminology in both English and Spanish to ensure uniformity across translations.Collaborate with subject matter experts to expand and refine the glossary as needed.Collaboration:Collaborate closely with other translation team members, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate translations.Participate in team meetings, sharing insights and best practices.Compliance and Privacy:Adhere to all relevant healthcare industry regulations and privacy requirements, including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), when handling sensitive healthcare information.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.Proven experience as a healthcare translator, preferably in a professional setting.Strong proficiency in both English and Spanish, with an excellent understanding of medical terminology in both languages.Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and best practices.Familiarity with translation software and CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools is a plus.Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality translations.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.A deep respect for patient privacy and confidentiality.
