TitleSpanish Translator/InterpreterStart DateASAPCompensation$36,000 on an annualized basisLocation:Marlborough Public Schools DistrictOrganizational Relationship Or Line Of AuthorityDirectly responsible to the Registration Center and Translation Services Manager and through him/her to the Superintendent of SchoolsStatement Of Duties Responsible for written and oral translation of school documents, including, but not limited to,School communication to familiesTeacher/parent communicationIndividual Education PlansDistrict-wide school messengerAiding administration in parent outreachEnsures all “school to home” communications are translated appropriately.Maintains electronic data base of all translationsAids in translation for parents registering in the Parent Outreach CenterSupports the Administrative Assistant in the Registration and Parent Outreach CenterFlexible schedule to include evening parent open houses and conferences Assumes other duties as may be assigned by the Building Administrators QualificationsMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and SpanishHigh School Diploma or equivalentStrong interpersonal skills as he or she deals directly with the public on a daily basisMust be able to work well as part of a teamMust be self-motivated, flexible, very well organizedMust be detailed oriented, with analytical and problem solving skills, along with customer service abilities and other related characteristicsBe familiar with computers and computer software programs particularly Excel and Microsoft Office including Microsoft Outlook. Ability with data base programs such as Aspen are a plus.
