We are searching for expert Swahili linguists that have experience working on religious content such as the bible. One of our clients is looking to create Swahili content that helps Swahili translators translate the bible. More specifically:
• Create resources such as dictionaries, study guides, translation guides, and commentaries to support Bible translators.
• The content is primarily in XML or markdown format and is intended to assist translators in their work.
• The idea is our translations would be used by Swahili speakers who also speak smaller tribal languages. This would mean they have good source content to work from when translating the Bible themselves into those tribal languages.
We are in essence looking for someone with both a deep knowledge of Swahili, the bible, and previous translation experience to work on these projects.
