This part -time role will be responsible for accurately translating a variety of donor recruitment materials and marketing assets, ensuring the effective conveyance of messages while maintaining cultural sensitivity and relevance to the target audience. Expertise in translating health-related language, as well as attention to detail and proofreading skills, will be crucial in maintaining the accuracy of our marketing materials and adherence to industry-specific guidelines.Translation of Marketing Materials Accurately translate all copy needs for blood donor facing materials, including brochures, newsletters, email campaigns, social media posts, and website content. Ensure translations effectively convey the intended message while maintaining cultural sensitivity and relevance to the target audience.Accuracy of NYBCe and Health-related Language Ensure that marketing assets and health-related language translations are correct, accurately conveying medical terms, health instructions, and other relevant information. Adhere to NYBCe and industry-specific guidelines and standards. Attention to detail and thorough proofreading skills are essential.Consistency in Translation Maintain a cohesive and professional image across all donor recruitment materials by creating consistency in the choice of words, phrases, and tone throughout translations. Adapt to different regional variations of the Spanish language and select appropriate vocabulary and expressions accordingly.Reviewing Translation Materials Collaborate with the design team to review translation materials in their final design form. Ensure that the translated text fits appropriately within the layout, maintains readability, and enhances the overall visual appeal of the materials.EducationBachelor’s degree.ExperienceThree to five years demonstrated work experience in Spanish language translation within health care, pharmaceuticals and for print and social media. Fluency in both Spanish and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.Proven translation experience in a healthcare environment.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of medical terminology and health-related language.Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.Familiarity with industry-specific guidelines and standards for translation.Proficiency in using translation tools and software.Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.Familiarity with Adobe editing software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator) a plusFor applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed hiring rate $34.36p/hr. to $38.46 . For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant’s skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.
