[PROJECT OVERVIEW & QUALIFICATIONS]

SAGA Translations is seeking experienced linguists to produce US English subtitles (.srt) for raw footage in Danish and Greenlandic for upcoming coverage of the evolving diplomatic situation between the United States, Denmark, and Greenland.
Subtitlers must have 2+ years of experience delivering time-synced .srts (English subtitles for Danish) and a proactive approach to research when tackling translations for raw audio.
The time-synced English subtitles (.srt) created by the subtitlers will be essential for the producers and editors as they review, select, and structure the scenes for the final cut.
[TYPE OF FOOTAGE EXPECTED]
The material will mostly consist of vox-pop interviews and vérité-style footage from active protest sites and political speeches. Candidates must be comfortable translating spontaneous, informal speech and ambient-heavy field recordings.
