Project Details – PT-BR Dubbing Review and Check Task
1. Task Type
PT-BR dubbing review — subtitle text revision and timecode adjustment.
2. Background
The original PT-BR subtitles are created based on the source audio. After dubbing into PT-BR, timing and expressions may change, so the subtitles must be reviewed and precisely synchronized with the dubbed audio.
3. Project Duration
Long-term, with tasks assigned monthly.
The first batch will begin this week. Linguists delivering high-quality work may be considered for stable, ongoing collaboration.
4. Provided Materials
• Input: PT-BR dubbed video + PT-BR subtitle file
• Output: Revised subtitle file + issue feedback form
5. Tools
Aegisub or any subtitle-editing software.
6. Work Scope
Task A – Timecode Adjustment
• Align subtitle in/out points accurately according to the dubbed audio.
Task B – Subtitle Review
• Ensure that subtitle content matches the dubbing; adjust wording when expressions differ but meaning remains equivalent.
• Report any clear dubbing errors in the feedback form (subtitles should not be modified in such cases).
• Add missing subtitles where audio exists without text.
• Ensure formatting rules are followed (character limits, dialogue markers, etc.).
Linguists who can handle both Task A + Task B will be prioritized.
Requirements
• Excellent listening, reading, and writing skills in Brazilian Portuguese (PT-BR).
• Proficiency in Aegisub or similar subtitle software; experience with timecode adjustment is a plus.
• Flexible availability.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to deliver high-quality work consistently.
