Since the deaf-blind cannot use audio, a system needed to be created that would be able bring the Scriptures to them. An idea was proposed to use universally recognized pictures and symbols to convey meaning resulting in the process of creating SUN.For this project, we are seeking native or bilingual Yoruba speakers who can translate an English training manual into Yoruba. These training manuals will be used for teachers to the deaf and blind in Yoruba speaking regions. Basic computer skills and language fluency in both English and Yoruba are needed. You must be comfortable using Word and Excel Spreadsheets and have the ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form. This work is entirely remote and will only require about 8 hours of service per week. The training manual is 26-pages long, and we are hoping for willing and able team members to serve with us until the job is complete, which may take a few months. This is a volunteer ministry opportunity. Using your language skills, you can help bring the Gospel to the blind and deaf!
