Experienced post-editor (min 2 hrs./day)
Type: Freelance / Remote
Location: Several Time zones
Hours: weekends and between 6pm and 7am (Virginia Beach Local Time)
We are looking for talented and qualified English (US) into Spanish (US) Post-Editors with experience in the medical setting.
Task: Review and adjust machine translated text from English US into Spanish US by improving accuracy, quality and fluency. The goal is to ensure that the post-edited versions read as if it were originally written by a native speaker.
Requirements:
– A degree in translation, linguistics or language studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education; or
– a degree in any other field from a recognized institution of higher education and has the equivalent of two years of full-time professional experience in translating; or
– the equivalent of five years of full-time professional experience in translating.
Other requirements:
– Bilingual Spanish (US) and English (US).
– Localization Experience – Possess cultural knowledge of the source language and the target language.
– Post-editing Machine Translation or Localization Experience.
– Knowledge of MT and LLM technologies
– Proven Experience in the healthcare industry.
– CAT experience.
Skills:
– Advanced degree in translation or a related field.
– Experience in evaluating Post-edited material:
Post-editing Quality: fluency, naturalness, accuracy, and coherence
– RAW MT output evaluation: Post-editing length and time, Error type identification and similar
– Additional language proficiency in other languages.
