Technical Document Writer – Knowledgebase and USER / UAT guides

We seek a skilled technical writer to author knowledge base articles and end-user guides for our web based software applications. The successful candidate will have experience developing online help documentation, releases notes, and operational guides for Web based platforms.

Your primary responsibilities will include researching and clearly explaining the functionality and workflows of our different software modules to both internal and external stakeholders. You will break down complex technical processes into simple steps and ensure all content is error-free, well-organised and easy for users of varying technical abilities to comprehend.

Interacting directly with our product and development team, you will gain a thorough understanding of new features and improvements being made to our systems. From this knowledge, you will then conceive and draft new documentation, as well as update existing materials.

Strategies like knowledgeable troubleshooting responses, annotated screenshots, and instructional videos may be utilised to engage users and streamline their learning.

Additionally, you will work closely with our product lead to produce user acceptance testing guides. Gathering feedback, you will deftly refine documents prior to official release. Strong communication and collaborative problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience in technical writing, preferably for software. What is expected is demonstrated ability to translate complex technical specifications into easily digestible end-user
