STRATEGIC STAFFING SOLUTIONS (S3) HAS AN OPENING!Job Title: Spanish TranslatorLocation: Charlotte NCDuration: 12 Months – Hybrid ScheduleJob Description:We are seeking a Senior Communications Consultant (Spanish Translator / Linguist) for the In-Language Customer Experience Team with the Chief Operating Office.Translate, review, proof, and validate content in context as applicable while adhering to strict style guides, terminology, deadlines, and proceduresConduct post-translation review and spot-checking for language accuracy and consistency, reporting defects, and verifying fixesSupport ad hoc projects as neededRespond to client feedback, analyze legal and/or compliance feedback provided, act as a liaison to settle any pending issues, and verify feedback implementation by internal linguists / vendorsAddress linguistic queries and consultations daily from internal clients and vendorsRequired Skills:4+ years of translation industry experience, project management experience, or a combination of bothBilingual speaking, reading, and writing proficiency in Spanish/EnglishUse of translation tools like Trados Studio, Multiterm, or TMS (Translation Management System)Able to pass a language assessment.Desired Qualifications:4 + years of experience as a professional translator and editor or proofreader, translating, reviewing and providing feedback on marketing, finance, legal and banking material, targeting Spanish-speaking audiences in the U.S. and Latin America3 + years of verifiable professional experience translating / trans creating creative content (such as marketing and public relation communication content)Expertise in trans creating that connects emotionally and is culturally appropriate with the target audience in SpanishExperience with Computer Assisted Translation and Terminology tools (such as Wordfast, Studio, SDLX, Trados, MultiTerm, etc.)Experience with Adobe Acrobat and other common content toolsExperience using Internet-based resources such as dictionaries and glossariesExperience working in a complex, matrixed organizationBachelor s degree in Spanish translation or linguisticsATA certificationBeware of scams.
